Suffolk Mud and other stories
Hello There
At last, Sunflower Shine brings our Suffolk Mud blogpost into being. Ta da!
This is where I joyfully fling all sorts of useful information your way and hope the good stuff sticks like a giant clod of Suffolk Clay clinging to your boots! Just remember to scrape it off on the boot scraper on your way in as you settle down with a cuppa to enjoy a happy read.
Suffolk Mud is about how cleaning, gardening and taking care of your home and environs can do the following for you:
Reduce time spent cleaning. Weird, eh? We genuinely don’t want to have you paying for cleaning time you do not need. If you hire a professional cleaner like Sunflower Shine in Suffolk you will want them to be efficient and effective. A few preventative steps can reduce the time taken to clean and reduce your cleaning costs over time. How to decide on the appropriate time and frequency and why this may change seasonally. And why it is always good value to deep clean before you begin a regular contract.
Remove the guilt around needing a little extra or a lot of extra help for your cleaning. There is nothing to be embarrassed about. When you work long hours, have small children, a home based job, care for someone with a disability or chronic illness you may need extra support. In fact, if you fall into this last category as a carer or someone needing care, Carers UK can even help you access some financial support to help with care and cleaning costs if you are in this position. (This goes direct to you not to the cleaner so you can manage it across all your needs. I would have no way of knowing if any of my clients received this benefit not judging here.)
If you work from home the government has awarded an additional tax free allowance for cleaning. I will be talking to experts about that and how to claim.Improve your health. Yes. I will be talking dirty and how to ensure home hygiene to prevent Covid-19, food poisoning, air pollution, poor sleep and more.
Protect against the risks of over cleaning or using products incorrectly so that you do not introduce residue or create damaged surfaces where ironically microbes will enjoy gathering. Ensure longevity and reduce the need to replace home furnishings.
Tackle the fear of cleaning unusual or precious materials. I will be seeking out the best advice from people involved in traditional building and conserving museum items to ensure the advice suggested is reliable and you do not have to just take my word for it.
Shine a Light on Sparkly Offers: I will share with you special offers I uncover for you for products and services which may benefit you and/or your home or office. These may well include skin care products as I am becoming very familiar with fighting mask acne and sore dry hands.
Help you discover which products I find customers value most and which my testing shows are most effective. I will also research what people outside my customer base have to say to give you the best insights.
Gardening and growing stories. I love growing things. I love Suffolk mud. The garden is so good for well being and I offer support with garden work as needed.
Pets. Some of my favourite animal friends may well show up in photographs on this site. Tips for dealing with animal smells, dirt and hair will also appear here from time to time.
If you have allergies, I will be suggesting ways to reduce allergens in your environment.
Promote Self Care: it all starts with Tea and Toast. When you are cleaning it is important to get the energy you need and take care of yourself. I am very happy to lead by example on this, the kettle is on!
Have a great day! And if there is something you think I should blog about, a product or service you love let me know!
Best wishes
Mary
